Time: The permit term is 1, 2 or 3 years according to the declared activity; processing begins after the complete DIGEMIG filing and tariff payment.
Cost: The DIGEMIG tariff for the selected 1-, 2- or 3-year residence term, plus document legalisation and translation costs.

Time away: More than three years of legal, uninterrupted residence under state supervision, a lawful activity in Bolivia, and an express declaration that you want Bolivian nationality. The regulation treats continuity through the validity and renewal of the residence status.

DIGEMIG may issue temporary residence for one, two or three years according to the declared activity, with renewals. Permanent residence is available after three years; the temporary years count toward the three-year naturalisation residence rule.
