What it takes.

Time
Normal SIRI processing time: one month; up to three months when more information is needed.
Cost
DKK 6,810 application processing fee in 2026.
The hard part
Matching the current occupation list, degree requirements and any professional authorization.

Citizens by 2037.

If your first permit is issued in 2027 and you keep living there, this is the road.

    First residence permit

    4 years, renewable for 4 years at a time.

  2. 2031
    Renew the permit

    Filed before the old one lapses; renews for 4 years.
