What it takes.

Time: The issuing authority decides the application after the complete sponsored file and prerequisite approvals are lodged.

Time away: Five years of lawful residence immediately before filing, plus being the child or spouse of an FSM citizen or already an FSM national; Congress recommends and the President decides.
