The inviting party requests C3 after an invitation and applicable permission to employ the foreign worker; work permission is a separate prerequisite.

Time: The issuing authority decides the application after the complete sponsored file and prerequisite approvals are lodged.
Cost: Government charges are assessed under the issuing authority’s schedule; sponsor, translation and document costs are separate.
The hard part: Employer invitation and labour authorization; a visa-free visitor stay does not authorize work.

Language: Elementary Kazakh proven by certificate.
Civics: Pass the prescribed test on the Constitution and history of Kazakhstan.
Time away: Five continuous years of permanent residence at filing; the ordinary application period is up to six months.
Two passports: Usually not: new citizens are asked to give up their other citizenship.

Time on this program does not count toward permanent residence or citizenship; the family would need to switch to one that does.
The five-year citizenship period is continuous permanent residence, so C3 work residence must first lead to a permanent card.

Time you must spend there: The program sets no minimum number of days. Renewal still expects it to be your home.
