What it takes.

Investment
About $650,000.
Time
1–4 weeks for approval once the investment (property, business or deposit) is in place, plus medical exam and biometrics.
Cost
The OMR 250,000+ ($650,000+) investment plus registration and legal fees of roughly $5,000–15,000.
The hard part
Buying within a designated Integrated Tourism Complex where foreign freehold ownership qualifies.

    5 years, renewable for 5 years at a time.

Usually not: new citizens are asked to give up their other citizenship.
  • Time on this program does not count toward permanent residence or citizenship; the family would need to switch to one that does.
  • Five years at OMR 250,000, ten years at OMR 500,000; the program itself says it does not lead to Omani citizenship.
