Time
Processing runs from submission of a complete file to the issuing authority’s decision.
Cost
The published nonrefundable application fee is US$500 plus US$300 per dependant.
The hard part
Assembling the option-specific evidence and obtaining the issuing authority’s approval.

Time away
Ordinary residence in Zimbabwe for ten years before registration, with an intention to continue living there; the President may accept a shorter period in an individual case.
Two passports
Usually not: new citizens are asked to give up their other citizenship.
  • Renewed temporary employment residence can build ordinary residence, but registration as a citizen takes ten years and requires renouncing other citizenship.
  • How long the decision takes isn’t published; we allow a year.
