Can you claim Chilean citizenship through a parent?
Citizen by descent (Art. 10(2))
A child born abroad to a Chilean parent is Chilean if that parent, or one of your grandparents, was Chilean by birth in Chile or by naturalisation.
- Chileans include persons born abroad who are children of a Chilean father or mother, provided that one of their ascendants in the direct line of first or second degree acquired Chilean nationality by birth or naturalisation.
