Can you claim Trinidadian citizenship through a parent?
Citizen by descent
A child born abroad to a Trinidad and Tobago citizen is a citizen by descent and proves it with a first passport application.

- Since the Constitution (Amendment) Act 2025, a person born abroad is a citizen by descent if at the birth a parent or grandparent was a citizen, including a citizen by descent.
